Step 1: Place the whole chicken in the crockpot and fill the crockpot with water.
Step 2: Add the apple cider vinegar and salt.
Step 3: Turn on high, and boil for 3-4 hours until the chicken is fall of the bones.
Step 4: Remove the skin (Fry it up for yummy cracklings if you want!). Separate all the meat from the bones. Return the bones to the crockpot and use the chicken however you desire.
Step 5: Turn the crockpot to low and leave overnight. Top up the water level before bed.
Step 6: In the morning, stir the broth, and add all the spices. Let it continue to cook on low for another night. Again, check the water level before bed.
Step 7: Turn of the crockpot in the morning and allow the broth to cool before straining out the bones.
Step 8: Add enough water to make 16 cups of broth, taste test to see if you want to add anymore salt/pepper or spices to your families liking.
Step 9: Enjoy your heart healthy, healing, hearty broth! That was a mouthful. 😉
