Crochet Chicken Plant Hanger Pattern

Materials Required for this project: 

• Loops and Threads yarn in white or ivory  

• Small amounts of red and yellow yarn for the chicken’s beak and comb 

• Darning Needle 

• Scissors  

• 5.5mm crochet hook 

• 5mm craft bead safety eyes 

• Stuffing  

Notes:  

• This crochet pattern is written using US terminology  

• Start every stitch of the round in the same stitch as the chain 

• The chain doesn’t count as a stitch 

• Stuffing can be used to round out the chicken’s shape when hanging, I like putting a glass bowl inside of my plant hangers.   

Abbreviations: 

Sc – Single crochet  

Slst – Slip Stitch  

Ch – Chain  

Sts – Stitches  

St – Stitch  

Fresh or faux flowers of any color look amazing in this hanger.   

The finished product is approximately 21-22″ high, 8″ across from head to tail, and the body is about 4-4.5″ high.
