Pattern Type: Paid

Materials for this Pattern:

  •  1 skein of Bernat Handicrafter cotton yarn in color of choice – Medium 4 weight
  •  4.5mm hook
  •  1 medium button
  •  1 small button
  •  Darning needle
  •  Thread of appropriate color

I love Bernat Handicrafters cotton yarn for dishcloths and bibs. It’s absorbent, has antibacterial properties, and it’s a medium 4 weight yarn so works up really fast. It comes in a fair amount of cool colors to choose from.

Stitches

This pattern uses basic stitches. You’ll use a half double crochet, chain and slip stitch. Pretty simple stuff! This pattern will give you some good practice with decreasing.

The Pattern

You start this pattern by making the collar, then crochet the bib from the collar to the point.

The pattern actually provides 2 sizes. The smaller size intended for a newer, smaller baby and the larger size for that big adorable drooler in your life.

The pattern is only a dollar! And you can get the materials for dollars as well.

The Finished Product

The drool struggle is real, and these bibs save you from changing baby over and over because of drool soaked shirts.

They are quick, affordable and easy to make.  Would make a great baby shower gift. Are washer and dryer friendly, though you may want to lay them flat to dry to avoid wrinkles.

If you have a drooly baby in the home, or can’t hold your grandchild without getting a drool bath…. give one of these a try.
